O. C. Dobbins

Funeral service for O.C. Dobbins, 66, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at the Bible Baptist Church, Chickasha, Oklahoma.

O.C. Dobbins was born June 4, 1943, in North Little Rock, Arkansas the son of Harold and Melinda Dobbins. He died April 1, 2010, in Oklahoma City.

He and Heidelore Lang were married June 7, 1987 in Reno, Nevada.

O.C. served in the U.S. Army for 28 years and retired as Field Artillery Sgt. Major.

After his retirement in 1990, he worked for PanAm Airways as head of airport security in Frankfurt, Germany for two years.

He moved to Chickasha in September of 1992.

He had worked for Lacefield Chevrolet and later for John Holt Chevrolet and Mike Crawford Roofing. O.C. was a member of the Order of St. Barbara, member of NCO Association, lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Survivors include: His wife: Heidelore Dobbins of the home in Chickasha; 1 son: Dwight Dobbins and family of Oklahoma City; 1 daughter: Angelisa Dobbins of Dallas, TX; 2 stepsons: Timothy Smith and Family of Ft. Worth, TX, Daniel Smith of Lehi, Utah Brother and sisters: Robert, Nancy, Virginia and Gladys all of Little Rock, AR. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Interment will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha.
