Marlis Hanelore [Kerkau] Allen


Marlis Allen, Lawton, was born December 2, 1941 in Stettin, Poland to Willie and Annie Kerkau.

She passed away peacefully on September 12, 2016 at the age of 74.

A visitation will be held Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 2pm-6pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 at 12:30pm in the Whinery-Huddleston Chapel.

Burial will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.

Marlis married David Allen on September 14, 1962. She was a homemaker and military wife and travelled with David to all of his duty stations. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time in her yard doing yardwork, which she was very good at. Marlis also enjoyed bowling and was an avid bowler at Thunderbird Bowling Alley. She also loved gong to the casino and was very lucky and won often.

She will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, David, of the home; her daughter, Debbie Howell and husband Shayne; son, David W. Allen and wife Shea; son, Richard Scott Allen; and 5 grandchildren.
