Jerry Lee Winters

October 11, 1939 ~ January 12, 2020

Jerry L. Winters, age 80, of Lawton passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 in Lawton.
Jerry was born October 11, 1939 in Denver, Tennessee to Cornelius and Edna Winters. He was one of seven children. He retired as SFC in the United States Army with twenty years of service. He was also a member of the Mt. Scott Masonic Lodge #540. He married the love of his life, Helga Winters, on January 19, 1961 in Germany and they would spend the next fifty-eight blissful years together. Jerry loved socializing and having coffee with his friends at What-A-Burger and the VA Center.
Jerry was survived by his wife, Helga; his children, Pia Thompson, Cindy Cook and Jerry L. Winters, Jr.; his grandchildren, Brandon Thompson, Shamar Winters, Shanika Wilson, Devon Cook and Amber Looney; his great grandchildren, Sadie Mae Thompson, Bryson Lee Wilson, Bexley Looney, Axtyn Looney and Landyn Looney and his best buddy, Buffy.
