Rodney Jay Wilkerson

June 26, 1954 - April 29, 2014

Rodney Jay Wilkerson, age 59 of OKC, OK died April 29, 2014. Born June 26, 1954 at Cape Girardeau, MO to Virginia Faye Heath and John M. Wilkerson. Rodney had 1 brother Donald M. Wilkerson.
Rodney graduated from Bell City High School in 1972. Rodney attended Auto Diesel College in Nashville where he met and married his wife Brenda Gray. They have 3 boys, Michael, Dustin and John, and 7 Grandchildren. Rodney attended Del City Church of Christ where he was baptized and accepted Christ.
Rodney retired from the Air Force after serving 20 years and being deployed numerous times and living overseas in England and Germany for 8 years. Rodney went to work at Tinker Air Force Base where he worked for 15 years as a civilian. He worked on aircraft such as A7-E3A 135, B1, B52 and others until he became ill.
Rodney enjoyed hunting, camping, target shooting, and 4 wheeling with his boys. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Brenda of the home, 3 sons Michael and wife Lisa of California, Dustin Wilkerson of Oklahoma City, and John Wilkerson of Midwest City, seven grandchildren, and his sister in law Bobbie of Texas.
Funeral services will be held at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel in Midwest City, at 2:00pm on Saturday May 2, 2014 and interment at Ft. Sill National Cemetery on Monday May 5, 2014.
