William Wallace

November 26, 1935 - February 10, 2018

William Wallace, age 82, of Lawton passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Cedar Crest Manor in Lawton, Oklahoma.
William was born and raised in Bradford, PA. After a short stint in the US Army where he was stationed in Korea, he joined the US Air Force as a machinist apprentice in 1958, and retired as a MSG in 1978. On October 21, 1989 he married his sweetheart, Kay Edwards. He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed travelling the country, and tinkering with narrow gauge railroad. He was joyful officiating high school and college football games. He was a lifetime member of VFW, DAV, and AFSgts Association, as well as Professional Loadmasters Association. He pursued college after retiring from the Air Force and was a civil service employee training airman on flight safety and loadmaster instruction on Altus AFB.
William leaves behind wife Kay of Lawton, daughter Ellen Mary Furlong(Don), granddaughter Kristin Perez LaFrance(Brian), grandson Laine Perez, and great grandsons Luke and Drew LaFrance of Sarasota, FL. Nephew Gary Carter(Linda) of Paradise, PA, stepdaughter Stacy McGlory, her fiancé Steven Williams, and stepson Jamie Edwards of Lawton, OK. Grandson Riley McGlory and honorary grandson Warren Williamson of Edmond, OK. Mr. Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, John and Garnette (Davis) Wallace, sister Vera C. Anderson, and grandson Alec McGlory.
