Virginia Jeanette Nix

March 18, 1945-March 22, 2017

Virginia Nix, age 72 of Purcell, passed away Wednesday March 22, 2017. Virginia Jeanette Hill was born March 18, 1945 in Okla. City, OK. She was born to William Barry and Willie Pauline (Melot) Hill. She had a brother and a sister. She was raised primarily in Wynnewood and attended Wynnewood Schools, graduating 1963. On June 17, 1963 she married her best friend and the love of her life, Nathan Wayne Nix. Together they raised 3 children: daughter Cynthia, and sons Justin and Warren. Throughout her life, Virginia accomplished many things and overcome many challenges. >From college to her career, she enjoyed much success in life. She was a teacher, an accountant, a rancher's wife, a mom, and she owned and operated successful businesses. In all of life's experiences, she shared it all, side by side, with Wayne. Virginia was a wonderful wife and mother and she cherished her family. She was a generous person and very accepting of everybody. She was an experienced traveler who has seen the world, an avid reader, and she made sunset viewings mandatory. She was a woman of great faith, and she served well. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by: Her father, Bill Hill and Step father, Freddie Felska.
Virginia leaves behind: Her husband, Wayne Nix of the home; Daughter, Cynthia Benson and husband Brent of Edmond, OK; Sons, Justin Nix and wife Patty of La Crosse, WI and Warren Nix and wife Sheryl of Wetumka, OK; Her mother, Pauline Melot Back of Oklahoma City; Sister, Gail Hill of Slaughterville; Brother, Darrell Hill and wife Linda of Laverne, OK; 6 grandchildren, Chelsea Triplett, Chad Triplett, Dalton Nix, Derek Nix, Blake Benson and Grant Benson.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 27, 2017, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. The family suggest that Memorials in Virginia's name be made to the Gideon's or the Salvation Army.
