William F. Johnson

June 22, 1940 ~ January 20, 2010

William F. "Bill" Johnson was born on June 22, 1940 in Easton, Maryland to Samuel Alexander and Edith Blanch (Hoffman) Johnson. He died on January 20, 2010 in Lawton, Oklahoma with his family at his side. He was 69 years old.
Bill was raised and attended school in Maryland. He enlisted in the Army in 1958 and married Elisabeth Ebner in April of 1960. Bill served in Korea, Germany and in Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart while serving as an artillery surveyor. He was medically discharged and moved with his family to Lawton in 1970. Bill worked in sales for over 20 years at Howard Smith Ford and retired in the early 90's. He was a devoted husband and father, enjoyed bowling, and a long time avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife of almost 50 years, Elisabeth; son, Billy Wayne Johnson and wife Debbie of Lawton; daughter, Tammy Kay Johnson of New York; grandchildren, Tristan Johnson and Billy Wayne Johnson, Jr, both of Lawton; a sister, Ginny Davis, and two brothers, Paul and Luther Johnson, all of Maryland.
