Michael (Mike) Leroy Cowsar

April 13, 1949 - June 18, 2020

A Celebration of Life Service for Michael (Mike, Gimpy) Leroy Cowsar, 71 of Enid, will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the Enid Masonic Lodge #80, 815 N. Idependence St., Enid, OK. Inurnment with military honors will be Friday, June 26, 2020 in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery. Mike was born April 13, 1949 in Enid to Hugh and Carrie (Wright) Cowsar, the youngest of four children. He passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020 at his home in Enid. He and sister Patsy shared birthdays that were seven years apart. Mike graduated from Enid High School in 1969. After graduating from Enid High School, he joined the Navy. At the death of his brother and sister-in-law, Mike returned to Enid. He later moved to Branson, MO and while there, Mike worked for and was an actor in the Shepherd of the Hills play. After the death of his wife, Mike moved back to Enid again and became a 32nd degree Mason.
Mike was preceded in death by his wife Deena, his parents, brother and sister-in-law Glen and Helen, sister Patsy Washburn, and brother-in-law De Frazier. He is survived by a son Michael of MO, grandson Isaac of MO, sister Gerri Frazier of OR, brother-in-law Albert Washburn of Enid, OK, many nieces, nephews, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews.
