Robert "Bob" Lee Cole, Sr.

September 26, 1943 ~ October 3, 2016

Robert "Bob" Lee Cole, Sr., passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at the Duncan Regional Hospital at the age of 73.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at 10:00 A.M. at the Bethesda Church of God with Rev. Harold Metheny officiating. Burial will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Family visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 PM on Tuesday, December 6, at the Whitt Funeral Home.
Bob was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Loren Edward and Elizabeth Cole on September 26, 1943. He attended schools in St. Louis. He joined the Army in 1962 and served in Germany. He was honorably discharged in March, 1965. He married Gusta Lorene Punneo on August 3, 1965, in St. Louis. He was employed as a truck driver and owned his own truck for 10 years.
He was an avid sports fan of both the Oklahoma University Sooners and the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed fishing and loved to spend time with his grandkids.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lorene, of the home; his sons, Robert "Bobby" Cole and wife Meagan, of Fletcher, and Loren Daniel "Danny" Cole and fiancé Jennifer, of Central High; his grandchildren, Caleb Cole, Katelynn Cole, Heather Cole, Holten Cole, Owen Webb and Cooper Webb; his brother, Bill Cole and wife Sharon, of St. Louis; his sisters, Mary Bond and Nancy Dahm, of St. Louis; and his sisters-in-law, Stella Steward and JoAnn Punneo, of Duncan, and Gladys Williams, of Florida.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Larry Cole; his brother-in-law, Buster Punneo, Jr.; and his sisters-in-law, Mary George, Patsy Harris, and Myrtle Rose Grissam.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary contributions be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
