Gerald Casey

October 25, 1930 - March 12, 2013

Funeral services for Mr. Gerald Patrick Casey, Jr., age 82, of Norman, Oklahoma will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in the Chapel at Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman with burial at Ft. Sill National Cemetery, 2648 N.E. Jake Dunn Road, Elgin, Oklahoma.
Gerald was born October, 25, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Gerald and Irene Casey. He passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Norman, Oklahoma. Gerald was united in marriage to Carol Sue Ives on March 18, 1985 in Vista, California.
After Gerald graduated High School in Chicago, Illinois, he enlisted in the United States Marines Corp. and served in both Korea and Vietnam. Gerald retired from active duty in 1971 after 21 years of service. He settled in Vista, California and was an active business leader in the City of Oceanside. He owned and operated several restaurants in the Oceanside area including Christopher's and The Paddock.
After retiring for a second time, he and his wife traveled extensively prior to moving to Norman, Oklahoma.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Carol Sue Casey of Norman, Oklahoma; children, Margret Casey of Fredonia, New York, Erin Quint and husband, Chris of Australia, Christopher Casey and his wife, Sophia of Los Angeles, California, Terry Smith of Norman, Oklahoma, Debra Walton and her husband James Lester of Salem, Oregon, James Russell Walton of Blachly, Oregon, Cindra Curtis of Norman, Oklahoma and Dave Curtis and his wife, Minnia of Carlsbad, California; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and son, Timothy Casey.
Arrangements for Gerald and his family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman. Online condolences may be shared at www.havnebrookfuneralhome.com.
