Mrs Jane Pope Carson

July 14, 1935 ~ December 1, 2015

Beloved wife and mother Jane Carson went to her Lord on December 1, 2015. She was born in Lumberton, North Carolina, the youngest sister of Martha and Mary "DaDa" Stephens. She graduated from Flora MacDonald College in Red Springs, North Carolina, and taught second grade in elementary school.
Jane shared 55 years with the love of her life, Alfred Joseph Carson, Jr. She enjoyed foreign travel as a military wife and domestic trips in retirement. She liked to sew, draw, sing in church, ride a motor scooter, and cook for neighbors.
Jane is survived by her devoted husband, Alfred: her two children, Gail and India (Cindy): her loving sister, Martha: and her grandchild, Brittany Dory. She is now in the company of her sister DaDa, whom she idolized and who preceded her in 1986; her brother-in-law Charles, who never failed to make her laugh and who passed in 1983; and her parents, who were a positive influence on her life. Jane's family, friends, and especially her doting husband celebrate the peace finally granted to this courageous spirit.
