Jack Hunter

September 21, 1937 ~ May 4, 2005

Graveside funeral services for Jack Hunter, 67, of Elgin, will be Saturday, May 7, 2005 at 10:00 A.m. at the Elgin Memorial Cemetery, Elgin, OK with Rev. Jimmy Lehew, Officiating.
Mr. Hunter died Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at his home west of Elgin.
Services are under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher.
He was born September 21, 1937 in Lawton to Ray Hunter and Vera (Hood) Hunter. He was raised in the Lawton area and served in the U.S. Navy. He married Carolyn Roberts, October 21, 1974 in Duncan, OK, she died in 1992. He was a plumber owning his own company, Jack Hunter's Plumbing. He retired in 2003 due to ill health.
He was a member of the Red Red Rose Club of Marlow and the Letitia Baptist Church.
Survivors include; his wife, Tammy Hunter of Lawton, 3 daughters; Pam Rodriguez of Sterling, Kathleen Bussey of Lawton, and Vera Thomas of Chickasha. 4 sons; Roy Rainwater of Lawton, Jack Hunter of Elgin, Ronnie Rainwater of Pensacola, Florida, and Aubrey Hunter of Anadarko, 1 sister, Faye Jackson of Lawton. 14 grandchildren; Todd, Mikie, Brianna, Jaclyn, Leanna, Roddy, Holly, Zackary, Carolyn, Tracy, Clint, Nichole, Jesse, and Randy, 3 great grandchildren; Aeryn, Shylan, and Rocky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a wife, a daughter, Sylvia Lacefield, a granddaughter, Kimberly, a brother, Jerry Lee Hunter, 2 sisters; Clara Weaver of Califonia and Lavena Kirkes of Lawton.
