Services for Mrs. Elsie Virgina Rogers will be conducted at the First Baptist Church at 2 o'clock this afternoon, Thursday by the Rev. Vernal West, pastor.

The Rev. Vernal West, pastor, conducted the services.

Born Jan. 15, 1884 in Webster County, Miss., Mrs. Rogers and her husband, the late J. R. Rogers, who preceded in her in death in June, 1960 reared their family in this community.

A member of the First Baptist Church, she died at 6:15 Monday evening after an illness of several weeks. She has been a resident of Ruth Wilson Hurley Manor since she became ill before Christmas.

Surviving are five daughters, Lois Mankin, San Clara, Calif. Etoyle Jackson, Lehigh, Ernestine Palmer, Coalgate, Mrs. Hazel Pendley, Santa Clara, Calif.,Mrs. Sue Ramsey, Amarillo, Tex.; five sons, Berl Rogers, Coalgate, Clarence Rogers, Borger, Texas, Raymond Rogers, L.B. Rogers, and Herman Rogers, Coalgate: 37 grandchildren, and 44; two sisters, Mrs. Maud Simson and Mrs. Dewey Porter, San Antonio, Texas.

Pallbearers well be grandsons.

Burial will be at Pine cemetery under the direction of Slater's funeral home.
