Funeral services for Berl Rogers were held Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Coalgate with Dennis Jones officiating.

He died December 16, 1976 in Mary Hurley Hospital.

He was born to James Robert Rogers and Elsie V. Hicks January 14, 1907.

He married Zelma Howerton October 1, 1925 in Parker, Oklahoma.

Survivors include his wife, Zelma of the home; four sons, John R. Rogers of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Berl Rogers, Jr. of Pekins, Ill.,Denver Clay Rogers, of Borger, Texas and Roy Rogers of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Four sisters, Lois Mankin of Yakima, Wash.,Ernestine Palmer of Coalgate, Hazel Pendley, Santa Clara, Calif., and Sue Ramsey of Odessa, Texas; four brothers, E.C. Rogers of Borger, Texas, Raymond Rogers, Coalgate, L.B. Rogers and Herman Rogers of Coalgate, adn 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
