Funeral services for Jim Holiman,Jr. will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon (Thursday) at the Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Paul Pounds.

Born in Grant County, Ark. on October 12, 1887, Mr. Holiman lived in Coal County for many years, farming in the Pine and Non communities, until about 1926, when he moved to California.

Surviving are two children, Melvin Holiman of Westmorland, a daughter, Mrs. Mae Dell, Barfell of Brawleigh, Calif,; two sisters, Mrs. Julie Brown of Salinas, Calif, and Mrs. George Hughes of Coalgate; six grandchildren.

Burial was at Pine Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
