Funeral services for Clifford William Eddings, a Coal County resident, were held Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Grady Roundtree officiating. Burila ws in Lehigh Cemetery with arrangements under the direcion of Brown's Funeral Services of Coalgate.

Mr. Eddings was born February 21, 1926 in Coal County to Albert Scott Eddings and Clyda Baughman Eddings and passed away February 26, 2010 at Coalgate at the age of 84. He attended and graduated Coalgate High School in 1945 and married Reba Estes on November 9, 1951 at Atoka. Mr. Eddings worked as a warehouse clerk in a bookstore, retired after many years from Garette Book Company and was a member of the Coalgate Church of the Nazerene.

Survivors include his wife, Reba Estes Eddings of the home; two sons, Larry Eddings and wife Susan of Coalgate adn Scott Eddings of Coalgate; two grandsons, Cliff Eddings and Will Eddings, both of Durant; one granddaughter, Jill Eddings of Durant; two sisters, Pauline Perry of Sand Springs,OK and Jeweldeen Tarron of Fort Worth, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Diane Eddings; brothers, Carl Eddings and Loyal Eddings; five sisters, Lena Howerton, Ida Eddings, Ermadeen Clapp, Wanda Logston, and Patricia Brown.

Caksetbearers were Kim Thomas, Joe Lambert, Mike Logston, Steve Sandmann, Roger Wilson and Mark Miller. Honorary bearers were Bobby George Lee, Jim Rice, Virgil Ennis, Edding Watkins, Louis B. Sandmann and Mike Kozak.
