JACKIE RAY DERRICK

Graveside service for Jackie Ray Derrick, 50, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Lehigh Cemetery in Lehigh, Oklahoma. Rev. Larry Creasman and Rev. Dewayne Brinlee will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Chad Airington, Jason Airington, Chris Roberts, Bo Roberts, Kevin Roberts and Brandon McDonald. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua Creasman, Bubba Coulter and Jonathan Brinlee.

Jackie Ray Derrick was born March 19, 1956 in Lehigh, Oklahoma to E. J. "Jeff" and Ruby Lee [Sherrod] Derrick and died September 19, 2006 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Mr. Derrick attended school in Lehigh and Coalgate.

He and Jolene [Coulter] Gayle were married on January 3 1977.

He worked as a derrick hand on oil rigs and was a farmer for Irene and the late Buck Clements. He loved to fish and camp and work on cars. He loved horses and his grandchildren and was a knife and gun collector. He was said to be Jack of all trades and master of none. He was preceded in death by: parents: brothers: Randy and Jimmy Derrick.

Survivors include: wife: Jolene Derrick of Chickasha, Oklahoma; two sons: Glen Gayle and wife April of Durant, Oklahoma; Paul Gayle and wife Marcy of Chickasha, Oklahoma; grandchildren: P. J. Gayle of Durant, Oklahoma; Jessalynn and Jake Gayle of Chickasha, Oklahoma; Glen Jr., Gage, Clinton and Emily Gayle all of Durant, Oklahoma; brother: Jeff Derrick and wife Susan of Hulbert, Oklahoma; nephew/brother: Dana Derrick of Lehigh, Oklahoma; sister: Rosalee Johnston and husband Al of Lehigh, Oklahoma; along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and thier relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Family night will be Friday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Services are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.
