March 31, 1952 ~ December 19, 2023

Johnnie Brenda "Bubbles" (Fanning) Burns, a life-long Lehigh resident, was born on March 31, 1952, to Ernest Paul and Peggy Lou (Franklin) Fanning, at Odessa, Texas. Brenda passed away on December 19, 2023 at Atoka, Oklahoma, at the age of 71 years, 8 months and 19 days. She graduated from Coalgate High School with the Class of 1970. After high school, she attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University and East Central University where she received her Master's Degree. Brenda was a mental health therapist for more than 25 years. She built many friendships through her job. Brenda was more than a therapist, she was a friend. She was a member of the Coalgate Church of Christ. Brenda enjoyed playing cards with her Jokers-R-Wild Canasta Club where she was a member for many years. She enjoyed fishing and watching sports especially baseball. Brenda was the Coalgate Wildcat's biggest fan. Her favorite times were spent with her grandchildren whom she was so proud of. Brenda left us with this quote, "Just remember to smile everyday that God lets you live and never think you're better than anyone else".
