Pearl Wheeler Beal

Funeral services for Pearl (Wheeler) Beal, a resident of Coal County, were held Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Rev. Richard Magby officiating. Burial was in Lehigh Cemetery with Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Beal was born May 21, 1913 at Cottonwood, OK to Andy Wheeler and Maud Lipscomb Wheeler and passed away July 23, 3010 at Coalgate at the age of 97. She attended Cairo schools and married Lloyd Beal on June 5, 1933 at Coalgate. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1980. Pearl was homemaker and worked as a cook for Hurley Manor in the 1960' s and 70's and was the Olney School librarian in the 80's. She was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include children, Kenneth Beal of Moore, OK, Norma Gwinn of Moore, OK, Judy Franks of Coalgate, OK and Don Beal of Corpus Christie, TX; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters, Jean Lancaster and Gwendolyn Cadena; sons, John Beal and Lloyd Wayne Beal; sisters, Alva Miller and Pressville Wheeler; brother, Homer Wheeler and son-in-law Johnnie Franks.

Casketbearers were Tony Gwinn, Paul Lancaster, Bryan Franks, Mike Beal, Jerry Beal and Jay Cadena. Honorary bearers were James Gwinn, Burt Lancaster, Lee Cadena, Lance Cadena and Earl DePasse.
