NAME: Alyene (Johnston) Tomlinson, age 100, a Coalgate resident.

BORN: She was born on October 19, 1918, to Joseph and Dona “Doney” (Gore) Johnston, at Lula, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Alyene passed away on October 27, 2018 at Lexington, OK.

AGE: 100 years and 8 days.

EDUCATION: She attended grade school at Rocky Point, north of Centrahoma, and Tupelo High School. She was not only a housewife, but also worked on the family farm doing whatever was needed. In 1958 she began working at Blue Bell/Wrangler and later Vanity Fare for 33 years retiring in 1991.

MARRIED: Alyene married Ulyesess Tomlinson on November 12, 1938 at Coalgate, Oklahoma. They were married 68 years before is passing.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Mrs. Tomlinson lived life for her family. She loved her children and all of her many grandchildren. She enjoyed the grands and great grands birthday parties and liked watching them play baseball or any sport they were involved in. She liked to sew and was an avid reader. She was a very sweet and precious lady that will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Alyene was of the Baptist faith.

Recently Mrs. Tomlinson celebrated her 100th birthday and was inducted as the 2251st person honored by Centenarians of Oklahoma since their inception in 1991.

SONS: Donald Tomlinson & wife Nell of Claremore, OK, Wayne Tomlinson & wife Linda of Coalgate, OK

DAUGHTERS: Ulene Mowdy of Lexington, OK, Lawana Dansby & husband Ronald of Ada, OK

BROTHER: Clement Johnston of Anza, CA

9-Grnadchildren: Annette Hamm & husband Jerry, Tony Mowdy & wife Buffy all of Lexington, OK Tammi Stephens & husband Harold of Atoka, OK, Michael Tomlinson & wife Lynn of Tulsa, OK, WaLinda Harbour & husband Robbie of Atoka, OK, Joann Flowers of Coalgate, OK., Daniel Tomlinson & wife Amanda of Pauls Valley, OK., Darin Dansby of Ada, OK., Justin Dansby & wife Ashley of Ada, OK.,.

GRANDSON-IN-LAW: Mack Buchanan of Wanette, OK

28-Great Grandchildren & 18-Great-Great Grandchildren & 2 on the way.

Five nieces also survive her

Along with many dearly loved family & friends
