Graveside services for Thelma Lois "Cook" Madden, a former Coalgate resident, were held Monday, October18, 2010 at 10:00 p.m. at Coalgate Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Self officiating. Brown's Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Madden was born March 23, 1920 in Coal County, Muddy Boggy area to Houston and Dove D. Quiett Cook and passed away October 11, 2010 in Kingman, AZ at the age of 90. She married Harold Madden and he preceded in death on October 21, 1994. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Maxine Turner and husband James of Golden Valley, AZ; granddaughters, Janna Paronto of Couerld Alene, Idaho and Janine Allvord of Escondido, CA; grandsons, Jay Turner of Golden Valley, AZ and Jeff Turner of Los Banos, CA; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild along with numerous other relatives and friends.,

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters and two brothers.
