Funeral services for Robert Lee Horner, a Coalgate resident, were held Monday, August 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Rev. Bill Weathers officiating. Burial was in Coalgate Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Mr. Horner was born September 20, 1932 in Claremore, OK to Robert Earl and Glee Eva Quinton Horner and passed away August 4, 2010 in Coalgate at the age of 77. He attended the Peoria, AZ schools, was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Local Union 428 for 50 years in Phoenix, AZ. He married Betty Griffin, Debbie Wilson and Marie Horner and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include his children, Karen Flowers and husband Jerry of Coalgate, Bobby Horner of Coalgate, Roger Horner and wife Theresa of Hot Springs, SD, Jim Horner and wife Lisa of St. George, UT, Terry Thomas of Ladysmith, WI; brother, Jack Horner of Phoenix, AZ; fourteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie Horner; sons, Robbie Horner and Richard Horner; brother, Bill Horner and sister Betty Seratt.

Casketbearers were Bobby Horner, Jeremy Flowers, David Miller, Michael Watkins, Jim Horner and Gary Flowers.
