Funeral services for Linnie Earl Hamer were held Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Rev. Bill Weathers officiating. Burial was in Coalgate Cemetery under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Linnie was born September 29, 1961 at Denton, TX to William Daniel Hamer and Margaret Lucille Stallcup Hamer and passed away January 15, 2010 at his resident in Ada at the age of 48. He atttended Coalgate Schools, was a heavy equipment operator/construction and loved sand drag racing, enjoyed spending time with friends and grilling for family dinners.

Survivors include his wife Simone(Vaughan) Hamer of Ada; son Dustin Hamer of Ada; parents, "Dub" and Margaret Hamer of Coalgate; brothers, Tommy Hamer and wife Sherry of Waco, TX, Billy Hamer and wife Susan of Coalgate; sisters, Sandra Duff of Whitewright, TX and Francis Hamer of Coalgate; special niece, April Thompson of Ada; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, David Hamer; grandmother Lora Stephens and aunt Anabelle Putman.

Casketbearers were Kenneth Harkins, Darral Moon, Timmy Hamer, Tommy Hamer II, Daniel Hamer, and Joseph Hamer. Honorary bearsers Keith Horn, Jeremy Lowden, Josh Lowden, Calvin Boyd, Billy Shipley and Dave Orin.
