Gene Howard Ferrero, age 84, a Coalgate resident.

BORN: He was born on March 29, 1931, to James Secundo and Gladys Marie (Rasmussen) Ferrero, at Coalgate, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Gene passed away on February 22, 2016 at Coalgate, OK.

AGE: 84 years, 10 months and 24 days.

EDUCATION: He graduated from Coalgate High School in 1949

OCCUPATION: Gene was employed by Red’s Grocery, Colbert Milk Delivery, Sonny’s Grocery. Gene owned and operated Ferrero Texaco Station, from 1960-67. Gene then worked for the State Hwy Dept, until his retirement in 1994, to babysit his first grandkid (son) Taylor for a year an half.

MILITARY: Gene served his country in the Korean War from 1952-1954

MARRIED: In 1957 he met the love of his life, Patsy Fine. They married on Sept. 8, 1957 at Dallas, TX. They were married for a wonderful 58 years. They had a son born on April 1, 1967, and a daughter born on December 11, 1969. He loved his children unconditionally and was always there for them. He had 4 grandkids, whom he adored and loved very much. Gene loved his family an enjoyed taking care of them.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Gene was a member of the Coalgate Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Coalgate VFW. Gene loved to do yard work.

WIFE: Patsy Marie (Fine) Ferrero of Coalgate, OK

SON: Michael Eugene Ferrero and wife Michelle of Hamlin, TX

DAUGHTER: Gina Annette (Ferrero) McNutt and husband Scotty of Coalgate, OK

GRANDSONS: Taylor Presley McNutt & Micah Chris Ferrero

GRANDDAUGHTERS: Madelyne Marie McNutt & Michaela Louise Ferrero

SISTER IN LAW: Nelda Ferrero

NIECE: Lynne White

NEPHEW: Mark Ferrero & wife Melinda
