Funeral services for Mary Tokarske Cannon, a Coalgate resident, will be held Thursday, February 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Boggs officiating. Burial will be in Coalgate Cemetery with arrangements under the directions of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Mrs. Cannon was born August 25, 1913 in Cottonwood, OK to Jacob and Aggie Tokarske and passed away February 14, 2010 in Coalgate at the age of 96. She attended school in Coalgate and married Oscar Joseph Cannon, Sr. on April 17, 1933. Mrs. Cannon was a housewife and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Coalgate. She enjoyed gardening and especially flower gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Wayne Cannon and wife Linda of New Orleans, LA and Oscar Joseph Cannon, Jr. and wife Faye of Wayne, Ok; four grandchildren, Beth Holmes, Diana Cannon, Jim Cannon and Jake Cannon; five great-grandchildren, Suzanne Miller, Cole Holmes, Cooper Holmes, Nathan Cannon and Quinn Cannon; one great-great-great grandchild, Kiera Miller; along with numerous other relatives adn many dear and loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph Cannon,Sr,; sister, Rosie Brezney; and brother, Stanley Tokarske.

Casketbearers will be Bob Thomas, Bobby George Lee, Carl Chism, Bob Burns, Michael Burns and J.D. Smith.
