Richard Doyle Traylor

Richard Doyle Traylor, age 66, a Coalgate resident, was born on December 16, 1956, to Adolphus and Grace Irene (Bowen) Traylor, at Coalgate, OK. Doyle passed away on December 23, 2022 at Ada, OK at the age of 66 years and 7 days. He attended Olney Schools.

Doyle worked in maintenance for the Oklahoma Department Corrections where he retired after 27 years. He retired as a volunteer firefighter for the Coalgate Fire Department. Doyle was a heavy equipment operator and also worked for the Wapanucka Water Department. He served in the Army National Guard.

Doyle met Vickie when he was 15 years old and she was 13 years old. They decided to get married on September 10, 1979 at Coalgate, OK. They enjoyed 55 wonderful years together. He was always working.

Doyle liked to catfish and play dominoes. He was known by his children for his lectures from the kitchen table. Brett and Michelee said they would rather had a whipping than listen to those lectures. Doyle loved telling stories and going to the movies with his "O Lady". He really liked his dog, Piper, but would never admit it. Doyle's favorite times were spent with his family especially his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Vickie Sue Traylor of the home in Coalgate, OK, A Son: Brett Traylor and wife Shandi of Coalgate, OK, Daughter: Michelee Traylor of Coalgate, OK, Grandchildren: Talan Traylor and wife Callie of Coalgate, OK, Morgan Traylor and Joseph Maynard of Coalgate, OK, Hunter Traylor of Coalgate, OK, Laren Traylor of Coalgate, OK, Hadley Traylor of Coalgate, OK, Jarrett Taylor of Coalgate, OK, Jaycie Taylor of Coalgate, OK, Jax Taylor of Coalgate, OK, Great Grandchildren: Baylon Maynard and Jacetyn Traylor. Brother: Ricky Eugene Traylor.

He was prtcrded in death by his parents Parents: Adolphus and Grace Irene (Bowen) Traylor, Great Grandchild: Jaylen Traylor, Brothers: Ike Traylor and Tommy Traylor, Sisters: Ethel Morlan, Lillie Archer, Lucille Thorton, Minnie Spears and Rosetta Spears. *******************************************************************************************************
