Dolores Ann Smith

November 16, 1941 – February 21, 2016

Dolores Smith of Ada passed Sunday evening with her family by her side after valiantly battling Alzheimer’s.

Funeral services will be held at Criswell Funeral Home in Ada, Oklahoma on Friday, February 26th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Gary Jamar will officiate. Burial will follow at Byrd’s Prairie Cemetery near Tupelo.

Known to many of this town, Dolores was the friendly face at Family Dollar and Dollar Tree for many years. She didn’t know a stranger, never failed to offer a smile, or gain enjoyment by giving customers a good-natured ribbing if the need called for it.

Witty and intelligent, Dolores also had a wonderful sense of humor which she passed down to her children. Get-togethers included lots of love, an amazing amount of laughter, and good times that will be cherished forever.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Rosetta Anderson, two brothers: Nolan and T.J Anderson, her sister Sylvia Anderson, and one grandson, Ryan Moss.

Dolores is survived by her siblings, brother Olan Anderson and his wife Carole of Meridian, Idaho: two sisters of Weiser, Idaho, Linda Nelson and Loretta Gibbish.

Blessed by five children and their spouses, Dolores leaves behind Rex and Lisa Munday of Ada, Zack and Donna Munday of Lula, Melody and Steve Crow of Meridian, Idaho, Tamara and Justin McKinney of Willard, Missouri, and Josh Smith of Ada.

She has eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many treasured friends.
