Services for Bonnie Jean Gregory, 83, of Ada, are at 10 a.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Floyd Kaiser and Bobby Johns will officiate. Burial will follow at Byrd's Prairie Cemetery at Tupelo.

Mrs. Gregory died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at a local nursing home. She was born June 15, 1930, at Wister to Marion Olen and Mary Elizabeth Bullard Canida. She attended Tupelo schools.

She married Earl Lee Gregory on Aug. 31, 1946, in Sherman, Texas. He died Aug. 24, 1992.

She and her husband moved to Ada from California in 1985 after retiring. They had lived in California for more than 30 years. Mrs. Gregory was a homemaker and a longtime member of Southwest Church of Christ. She had also volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels and the food pantry.

Survivors include her children, Sherry Burell and husband, Ray, of Ada, Rick Gregory and wife, Terri, of Taft, Calif., and Carolyn Furstenfeld of Ada; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Billie Gray and her husband, Don, of Pickett; a sister-in-law, Jessie Canida of Ada; and 37 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Don Gregory; daughter, Glenda Patterson; her brothers, Paul Canida, Earl Canida, Burl Canida, Bill Canida and David Canida; her sisters, Pearl Kolb, Jo Burnside, Opal Canida, Hazel Swenson, Wanda Cogburn and Joyce Holland; grandchildren, Christa Burrell, and Gregory twins; and great-grandchild, Gregory Michael Gibson.

Bearers will be Mike Kolb, Charles Canida, Bobby Canida, Eric Patterson, Randy Armstrong and Roger Fowler. Honorary bearers will be Brian Whitley, Greg Chilcoat, and Alan Simpson.
