CAROLYN ANDERSON

Funeral services for Carolyn "Sally" Anderson, 64, Stonewall, were held at  2 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at the Byrd's Prairie Cemetery in Tupelo. Officiating were the Rev. Bob Graham with Rev. David Boggs assisting.

Mrs. Anderson was born Oct. 11, 1946 in Tupelo to G.L. and Leora Sappenfield Thompson and died Monday, May 23, 2011 at Stonewall. Carolyn and  Andy Anderson were married  June 2, 1972 in Tupelo.

She was a 1964 graduate of Tupelo High School, owner and operator of Sally's Kountry Kitchen in Tupelo and was a lifelong resident of area.

Sally is survived by her husband Andy Anderson of the home; two daughters, Kathy Ballard and husband Jake, Ada; Michelle Morrison, Stonewall; Eight grandchildren, Mickaylla Anderson, Shania Bills, Meaghan Bills, Bryor Morrison, Jaeleigh Ballard, Balin Morrison, Bracin Ballard, and Hayleigh Ballard; sister, Patsy West and husband Ron, Ada; three brothers, Shorty Thompson and wife Darla, Stonewall; Bill  Thompson, Tupelo, Mike Thompson and wife Stacie, Ada; niece Tara Thompson and many nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law Glynda Reed and husband Britt, Lubbock, Texas.   

Preceding her in death are her parents and brother Butch Thompson.        

Bearers were Chris Thompson, Brian Reed, Jay Carroll, Todd Woods, Leslie Henderson, James Henderson.
