Genevieve (Gene) Dodgion, 90, was born on June 22, 1928 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma to Gilford and Gertrude Phillips. She passed away in Norman, Oklahoma on June 10, 2019.

Gene grew up in Ninnekah on her family's farm. Later going to beautician school in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Genevieve married the love of her life, Roland Keith Dodgion, Sr. on September 25, 1948 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

She was a member of the Norman Regional Hospital Women's Auxiliary Volunteers, member of the Lion's Club, member of the Election Board, a volunteer for blood drives, and a Salvation Army bell ringer.

Genevieve loved going to shows in Branson, MO and taking spontaneous road trips. She enjoyed making sorghum syrup and canned jam, helped with farm work, and was an avid bowler.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gilford Nelson Phillips, Gertrude Phillips, and daughter Paula Dodgion Crawford. Genevieve is survived by her husband Roland Keith Dodgion, Sr., son Roland Keith Dodgion, Jr. and wife Jerri Dodgion, grandchildren: Rayma Porter, Eric Crawford and wife Karena, Heather Benenati, Rachele Beals, Scott Crawford and wife Melissa, and Kristie Dodgion; and great grandchildren: Christopher Laidaker, Erin Crawford, Matthew Crawford, Brook Reagan, Leah Crawford, Jonathan Benenati, Ember Crawford, Jacqueline Benenati, Carys Crawford, Jamison Benenati, Corban Crawford.

Visitation will be from 1-8 pm on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman. Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman.

Genevieve was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
