After 84 years of a life well lived, Harold Bruce Horton left his earthly home to be reunited with the love of his life.

Bruce was born November 30, 1931 in Humphreys, OK to James and Ada Horton. Bruce served 4 years in the United States Navy, was active in the American Legion, and was an avid golfer. He was employed with OG&E for 31 years, primarily as a stores keeper, before his retirement. As one of 13 children, Bruce was best described as a sweet, unique man.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 62 years, Doris June (Sanderson) Horton; son, Ronald Horton; 7 brothers; and 5 sisters.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Alpha Hospice and Heritage Point of Oklahoma City for their exceptional, loving care of Bruce.

Visitation will be held 8am-8pm Tuesday at Resthaven Funeral Home. A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held 2pm Wednesday at the Resthaven Funeral Home chapel.
