Wilma Hazel (Spillers) Hampton

Wilma Hazel Hampton, 94, left her earthly home February 15, 2016. She was born June 16, 1921 in Hollis, OK to Thomas and Angeline Spillers. Hazel was an active, loyal member of Portland Avenue Baptist Church for over 20 years. Known to her family as “the coupon queen,” Hazel enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and ceramics in her spare time.

She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 38 years, Perry William Hampton; and three sisters.

Hazel is survived by her daughters: Kay Wooliver and husband Jerry, and Janet Mercer and husband Dennis; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday from 2pm-8pm. A celebration of Hazel’s life will be held 10am Saturday, February 20 at the Resthaven Funeral Home chapel.    

 
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens at 500 SW 104th , Oklahoma City.
