Marcus Eaves

Marcus C. Eaves, 45, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2002, following a lengthy illness. He was born Oct. 20, 1956, in Oklahoma City to Charles and Lawana (Welcher) Eaves. He graduated from Grant High School in 1974. He attended the University of Oklahoma and Central State University where he majored in business.

He married Lorrie Phipps Dec. 19, 1992, in Las Vegas, and the couple established their home in Oklahoma City. He worked in the family business, Quality Meat Co. in Oklahoma City.

He was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed all sports and was an avid OU fan. He also enjoyed fishing and skiing and other sports activities.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Lorrie, of Oklahoma City; his mother, Lawana Eaves and Cleo Price; six nieces; one nephew; four great-nephews; and many, many friends and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his father and a brother, Rocky.

The family would appreciate contributions made in his honor to the Oklahoma Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2915 N. Classen in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services was Tuesday, June 4, in the Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home with interment in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
