Benjamin Franklin Cook, Jr., about 53, Oklahoma City, formerly of Orlando, died at noon Thursday during open heart surgery in an Oklahoma City hospital.
Survivors include his wife Verlayne, of the home in Oklahoma City; a daughter, Connie, of the home; one son, Benjamin Franklin Cook, III, home on leave from duty with the armed forces in Germany; his mother, Mrs. Lillie Cook, Orlando; eight sisters, Mrs. G.L. Marshall and Mrs. Alex Ring, both of Perry; Mrs. John Green, Orlando; Mrs. B.J. Smith and Mrs. H.E. Owen, both of Guthrie; Mrs. Bill Green, Bethany; Mrs. C.C. Hardy, Denver, Colo. And Mrs. Melvin Terry of California; four brothers, Maston Cook, C.J. Cook and L.W. Cook, all of Orlando; and Melvin Cook, Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren.
