Funeral services for Nadine Ragsdale, age 83, of Norman, will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 18, 2010 in The Chapel of the Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman.

Nadine was born August 14, 1927 in Holdenville, OK the daughter of Elmer and Mary Ellen (Dunn) Mize.  She passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at her home in Norman.

Nadine attended public schools in Norman, and was later united in marriage to Mr. Melvin Ragsdale on January 10, 1947.  Melvin was enlisted into the United States Air Force, answering various tours of duty which required the family to travel extensively. 

Melvin and Nadine retired in Noble, OK in 1972 and remained there until Melvin's death on August 14, 1999.  Later in 2002, Nadine moved to Norman to be closer to her family. 

Nadine was a member of the Moose Lodge in Norman, where she actively participated and helped assemble Bingo.  She was an avid bowler, participating in up to six leagues per year until her health caused her to retire from bowling.  Nadine also enjoyed gardening, reading and watching Tiger Woods play golf, and visiting various casinos in Oklahoma.

She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Noble.

Survivors include two sons; Larry L. Ragsdale and his wife, Diana of Las Vegas, NV; Kelly Ragsdale of Yukon, OK; one daughter, Sharon Clingan of Norman, OK; 10 grandchildren; Bill Olendorff, Cathie Olendorff, Melissa Cooper, Christopher Jennings, Linda Taylor, Stefanie Jennings, Perry Clingan, Heather Clingan, Shelby Ragsdale, and Brett Cantrell-Roberts; 22 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; one great grandson, Ryder Jennings; and one brother, Jack Dunn.

Burial will conclude in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
