Marguerite (Marge) Marshall, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, Feb. 2, 2009.
She leaves behind her loving husband Gene; daughter, Gina Jones and husband Gary; daughter, Barbara McMillan and husband Euan; son, Dave Marshall and wife Jean; son, Dale Marshall and wife Susan; as well as 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Hester Fishel and siblings Lester and Roland Fishel, Leona Long and Willie Mae Robinson.
She graduated 1942 from Capitol Hill High School and was married to her sweetheart Gene just as WWII broke out. Marge devoted her life to her husband and children. She deeply loved her church family as well. She was born with a servant’s heart and exemplified the love of Christ by meeting the needs of others.
Service is at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Exchange Ave. Baptist
Church with interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to the
JB East Scholarship at Exchange Avenue.
