Harold D Bunch

After 75 years of a life well lived, Harold Dean Bunch passed from this life October 23, 2017.

He was born January 21, 1942 in Wright City, OK to Roy and Lillian (Ferrell) Bunch. Harold lived in Wright City until he moved with his family to Oklahoma City when he was 13. He graduated from U.S. Grant High School in 1960, then went on to attend Central State University for two years until he was drafted into the Army. Harold served his country from 1964-1966 at Ft. Polk, LA. In 1966, he began his employment with Western Electric, which later became Lucent Technologies, and retired as a layout operator in 1999. In the 1980s, he was a coordinator for little league baseball and football in Moore. Harold was an avid golfer, loved to collect music, and enjoyed watching the Sooners and the New York Yankees play.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Billy Shelton; and sisters, Joyce Ferrell and Carolyn Walden.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: sons, Greg Bunch and wife Debbie, and Kevin Bunch; stepchildren: Beckie Morton, and Jeff Shelton and wife Karen; grandchildren: Abbey Bunch, Ethan Bunch, Noah Bunch, Brandi Lovejoy, Chase Morton, Heather Montgomery, and Kevin Shelton.

Visitation will be held 1pm-8pm Thursday. A celebration of Harold’s life will be held 2pm Friday in the Chapel at Resthaven.
