Lyndel Earl Blanton, 81, of Edmond, formerly of Tuttle, died Friday, October 21, 2016 in Oklahoma City. The son of Jewel Earl Blanton and Margaret Hazel (Coleman) Blanton, he was born August 29, 1935 in Clinton, Oklahoma.

 He graduated from Burns Flat High School. Lyndel married Barbara Jean Cebulesky-Pennington on March 5, 1976 in Oklahoma City. He worked as a tester for Lucent Technologies and retired after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Snow Hill Baptist Church in Tuttle and a member of the 89er RV Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with his 1972 Dodge, gardening, being outdoors, travelling in his RV, and was an avid OU fan.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Dustin Dye; one brother, Lealon Blanton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Treva and Frank Field and Eva Dene and Johnny Best.

 He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Blanton, of Edmond; one son, Monty Blanton, and his wife, Mechelle, of Tecumseh; two daughters, Lynda Dye and her husband, Ivan, of Moore and Malette Rozneck and her husband, Jason, of Edmond; six grandchildren, Cody Blanton of Tecumseh, Caleb Blanton of Tecumseh, Julie Marley and her husband, Chris, of Oklahoma City, Lyndsay Neel and her husband, Bryan, of Nichols Hills, Kennedy Rozneck of Edmond, and Ridley Rozneck of Edmond; five great grandchildren, Brody, Taylor, Raylyn, Garrett, and Noah; one brother, Waymond Blanton of Oklahoma City; a sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Blanton of Yukon; his two special dogs, Daisy and Shadow; and many other loved ones and friends.

 Funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the Snow Hill Baptist Church in Tuttle. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Memorial donations may be made to Snow Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
