Dolores Josephine Batson age 87 of Oklahoma City, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Legend at Rivendell MC in south OKC.

She was born April 2, 1930 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Angus Jett Clonts and Lula Belle (Golden) Clonts. She grew up in Stratford with many cousins and attended Prairie Grove School. Later her family moved to OKC where she attended Capitol Hill Jr. High and Capitol Hill High School, graduating with the class of 1948. She enjoyed working on the yearbook and Journalism was her favorite subject. After graduation Dolores went to work at Southwestern Bell and attended Central State College. On June 17,1950 she married Allen Faye Batson. When she started having children she became a stay at home mother and homemaker, raising four children, Becky, Mark, Kathy and Allana. Years later while her children were in school, she worked in the cafeteria at Jefferson Jr. High. Throughout her life, Dolores enjoyed being with her family and friends, fishing, traveling, playing dominoes and bingo, listening to music, singing, and reading. She also enjoyed watching sports and was an avid OKC Thunder Fan. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by: Husband , Allen Batson Parents, Angus and Belle Clonts; Her very special aunt and uncle, Alice and Harold Clonts; Infant sister

She is survived by: Four children, Becky Shofner and husband Gordon of Gulf Shores, AL. Mark Batson of OKC, Kathy McElvany and husband Sammy of Tuttle, Allana Flood and husband Dan of Tuttle; Eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Two nephews, David Batson and wife Katie of OKC, Kevin Batson and wife Casey of Wellston, OK.

Memorial services will be 10:00AM Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle. Followed by the burial of her ashes at Resthaven Memory Gardens in South OKC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle. Local arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle.
