Joyce F (Doss) Abshire

After 88 years of a life well lived Joyce F. Abshire went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK.

She was born on January 12, 1930 in Ringling, OK to Everett and Gladys Doss. Joyce enjoyed camping, sewing, bluegrass music, going to the lake, but most of all she enjoyed spending quality time with her family.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra Abshire.

She is survived by her children, Michael R. Abshire and Amy, and Lana Carter and Dennis; grandchildren, Michael J. Abshire and Leigh Ann, Brandye McCart and Jason, Angela Carter, Neal Carter and Melinda, Cole Carter and Britney, and Clay Carter and Orlynda; and numerous great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, and other family members.

Services to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10:00 am at The Chapel at Resthaven with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City.
