Peggy Joyce (Brooks) Percival

Percival, Peggy Joyce, 85, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in Noble, Oklahoma. 

She was born October 3, 1927 in Ryan, Oklahoma to Cleopha and Alma (Fagan) Brooks.  Peggy was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and symbolized her dedication September 6, 1958.  She enjoyed many years of service sharing her beliefs with others.

She was a wonderful cook and her door was always open at meal times.  Some of the favorites were her biscuits and gravy, fish fry’s and pot roast on Sundays.  Peggy liked playing her electric organ, going camping, fishing, hiking, water skiing and crocheting.  She loved animals and autumn was her favorite time of the year.

Peggy  is survived by one son,  Jerry Don Percival; two daughters, Peggy “Tillie” Percival and Donna Hyer and beloved son-in-law Bill; two brothers, Darrell Brooks and David Brooks; two sisters, Barbara Little and Dian Gornall; four grandchildren, David Hyer, Daniel Hyer, Michael Percival and Toby Percival; eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer of 56 years; son, Eddie Ray Percival; grandson, James Michael Percival; her parents, Alma and Cleopha Brooks; sister, Cliffidell Brooks and two brothers, Bill Brooks and Ray Brooks.

Peggy’s family would like to give a special thanks to all of her friends and family who loved and supported her and to the staff at Noble Health Care Center and Loving Care Hospice.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2201 E. Imhoff, Norman, Oklahoma.  

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2123 N. Classen Blvd., OKC, OK 73106.
