JD Wright, 98, of Norman passed away at his home Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Norman.  He was born November 21, 1915 to John and Viola (Love) Wright. 

JD went to school in Ravia, OK.  He worked as an iron worker for Union Local #48 for 64 years.  JD was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church and now Heaven Bound Pentecostal Church of God in Norman.  He enjoyed fishing and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his  wives, Fay E Waller Wright, Thelma Haden Wright, two daughters, Imogene Lockeby and Teddie Baird; three sons, Lee Roy, Ronnie, and Jerry Wright; and two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers, and eight sisters. 

JD is survived by his daughter, Donna Branham and her husband Ralph; nineteen grandchildren,; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other family members.

Visitation for JD will be from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2014 and Wednesday, June 11, 2014 and 8 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014. 

Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Heaven Bound Pentecostal Church of God officiated by Reverend Sherman Fitzgerald and Reverend James Poulin, 1055 24th Ave. SE in Norman with interment following at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norman.
