Funeral services for Joe H. Tunnard were conducted in the chapel of the Primrose Funeral Home in Norman Thursday, August 21, 1969. He passed away Monday August 18, 1969 in Odessa, Texas where he and his wife, Eva had resided for the past few years. Immediate survivors include his wife, one son Raymond, Norman, Oklahoma, a daughter Joaneve Krasker, Los Angeles, California and four grandchildren. Mrs. Tunnard will now make her home in Norman.

Born in England, Joe Tunnard came to Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tunnard. He attended the Cheyenne school. In about 1912 he became engaged in the mercantile busines in Cheyenne in which he continued for 25 years. He then entered the business of Funeral Undertaking which business he continued until he moved to Odessa, Texas.

While residing in Cheyenne Joe Tunnard was an active member of the Methodist church. He was Secretary of the Roger Mills County Election Board for a number of years. He was 84 yeares of age.

Joe Tunnard was among those whoe never missed a Cheyenne reunion of Old Timers.
