Robert “Bob” Spires, Jr., 59, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in Norman, Oklahoma.  He was born July 11, 1953 in Norman to Robert and Ruth (Hughes) Spires, Sr.  He was married to his high school sweetheart, Connie McClellan Spires for 39 years.

Bob enjoyed canoeing and spending time with his dogs.  His greatest love in life was his family and spending time with them.

Bob is survived by his wife, Connie Spires; daughter, Christina Bergeron and husband Gary; granddaughter, Rachel Bergeron; mother-in-law, Nancy McClellan; brother-in-law, Mark McClellan; sister-in-law, Lori Rose and husband Greg; nieces, Dawn Mallard, Jennifer Biesak, and Lexi Riek; nephews, Ryan Rachal, Dustin Rachal and Jordan Rose; great nieces, Hailey Mallard, Jasmine Miller and Olivia Riek; and great nephew, Woody Biesak. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Vicki Dawson and Nancy Hardie and brother-in-law, Scott McClellan.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2013 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Norman.  Arrangements for Bob and his family were placed in the care of the Vice Family at Havenbrook Funeral Home.
