Hansmeyer, Otto, 100, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 in Norman, Oklahoma.  He was born July 21, 1912 in Norman to August and Minnie (Frevert) Hansmeyer. 

Otto was an insurance agent for Oklahoma Farmers Union retiring in 1992.  He also  was in the farming and ranching industry.  He enjoyed working, reading the newspaper and socializing with his family and friends.  His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Otto is survived by his son, Harold Hansmeyer and wife Diana; two daughters, Marilyn Sendelbach and husband Raymond and Kathryn Brown all of Norman; five grandchildren, Kimberly Baxter and husband Dustin Nunn of Norman, Clifton Brown and wife Bethany of Norman, Sandra Lundmark and husband Brian of Norman, Stanley Sendelbach and wife Misty of Noble and Daniel Brown of OKC; and seven great grandchildren, Phillip Baxter of OKC, John Baxter of Norman, Emma Baxter of Norman, Tanner Sendelbach of Noble, Tori Sendelbach of Noble, Toni Sendelbach of Noble and Sara Lundmark of Moore. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ellanora Hansmeyer; his daughter, Esther Hansmeyer; four brothers and six sisters.

Donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 603 Classen Blvd., Norman, OK 73071.

Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2012 and 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 5, 2012 with the family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Havenbrook Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church with interment following in I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Norman.

Arrangements for Otto and his family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
