Services for Pearlie Mae (Pearle) Haney, 78,  were held at 10am Friday, December 10, 2010, in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, OK . Interment followed at 2pm in the IOOF Cemetery at Norman, Oklahoma.
 
She was born November 24, 1932 in Stickleyville, VA to Fred and Sarah (Christian) Wallen and died Wednesday, December 8, 2010, after a time of declining health. She grew up in Churchill, TN.
 
Being a military wife she lived in several different military towns including Lawton, OK as well as a time in Italy. After retirement the family lived in the Hillsdale neighborhood in West OKC. Pearl was very active in the Hillsdale Neighborhood Assn., where she was instrumental in working with the City Council to get many improvements for the neighborhood. She also served on the 10th Street and the 23rd Street Restoration Committees and was a member of TRIAD.
 
Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother Hubert.
 
She is survived by her husband Bill of the home, one daughter Karen Hopkins and husband Ron of Canadian, OK, one son Scott Haney and wife Kathy of Mustang, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one sister Willie Arnold and husband Elmer of Kingsport, TN and one sister-in-law Wanda Haney of Norman.
