Funeral services for Jeremy James Dalton, age 39, of Norman will be held at 10:00 am Friday, December 16, 2011 at Journey Church, 3801 Journey Parkway in Norman with Pastor Adam Barnett officiating.

Jeremy was born June 23, 1972 in New London, Connecticut the son of Gary Arnold and Melody (Garbade) Dalton.  He passed away Tuesday afternoon at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Jeremy was raised in Connecticut, attending schools in Ledyard, Connecticut, graduating from Ledyard High School in 1990.  He later attended the Thames Valley Regional Technical Institute in Norwich, CT.

Jeremy was united in marriage to Miss Carrie McDonald on May 31, 2003 in Norman, Oklahoma.  Jeremy and Carrie lived in Nashville for a brief time before moving back to Norman in 2005.  Upon their return to Norman, Jeremy joined the family business, Stephen H. McDonald & Associates, Inc. as a Leasing Agent.  He loved his job, but more importantly loved working side by side with father-in-law, Steve and his brother-in-law, Ryan.                 .
Jeremy was a servant of God, volunteering in numerous capacities at Journey Church, including  being a Small Group Leader and was active in Children's Ministries.  He enjoyed following the Red Sox and Sooner Sports and when time allowed, fishing.  Jeremy passionately pursued helping others through his community service with Habitat East Main Place, and many other organizations.
The absolute love of his life, however, was being a husband to Carrie and a father to his two children, Owen and Camille.  He had a great sense of humor and could always be counted on for his upbeat and positive attitude.  When being remembered, It can be said that Jeremy was a “Soldier for The Lord.”  He will be greatly missed and was taken too soon, but we know he is in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie Dalton of the home; his two children, Owen and Camille Dalton; his mother, Melody Dalton Muolo and her husband, David of Ledyard, Connecticut; his father, Gary A. Dalton of California; one sister, Rebecca Lyn Bivens and her husband, Brandon of Leesburg, Ohio; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stephen and Kathleen McDonald of Norman, OK; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rita and William Guy of San Diego, California; and a host of additional family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Memorial donations may be made in memory of Jeremy James Dalton to Mission Norman, Inc., 2525 East Lindsey Street, Norman, Oklahoma 73071.

Burial will conclude in the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Norman.  Arrangements for Jeremy and his family were placed in the care of the Vice Family at Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
