LZ Boyer, 95, of Norman, OK passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016. 

LZ was born on March 13, 1921 in Muskogee, OK to Robert and Georgia Lester.  LZ loved to cook. She was well known for her cookies, pies, and stubbornness.  She never passed up a chance to go to the casino and never missed Wheel of Fortune but her greatest joy in life was her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchild. 

She is survived by her son, Paul Boyer and his wife, Terri; Stepson Frank Boyer; two granddaughters, Stephanie Boyer and husband, Austin Nelson, and Sara Boyer; 1 Great Granddaughter, Ayla Nelson and two nieces, Donna Shepherd and Sandra Chase. 

LZ was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vernon A. Boyer; three brothers:   Ted, Leonard and Ken and three sisters:  Jean, Joyce and Millie. 

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 10:00 am at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norman.  Services are under the care of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
