Charles Thomas Conner died July 28, 2015 in Lexington, Oklahoma at the age of 84 Years 5 Months 14 Days.  Gravesite services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, August 3, 2015 at Noble IOOF Cemetery under the care of Wadley's Funeral Service, Inc.

Charles was born February 14, 1931 in Uvalda, Georgia to James G. and Mary Frances (Hale) Conner. Charles was primarily raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, graduating from high school in 1949. He loved playing baseball and was a catcher for a semi-pro baseball team. Charles was inducted into the United States Army in 1950, and was honorably discharged after proudly serving for 10 years. He worked as a lineman for the telephone company for many years. Charles worked for the University of Oklahoma, doing all their telephone work before he retired. He was a strong supporter of the Sooners Football team. Charles earned his Master Mason on March 22, 1997 and was a member of the Blanchard Masonic Lodge #395 for 18 years. Charles was also a member of the India Shrine, participating in many Shrine parades as a Shrine clown. He was also an avid fisherman.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Conner; wife, Mary VanDalsem Conner; children, Susan Spangler, Authur Spangler; and stepson, Roger VanDalsem.

Survivors include his siblings; Bobby Gene Conner and wife, Nancy of New Jersey, Margaret McCauley-Farrar and husband, Wayne of Tennessee, James Edward Connor of Georgia, Richard Conner of Georgia, Betty Conner Weisgarber of Tennessee; his companion of 5 years, Lavonne Brown; stepsons; William B."Billy" VanDalsem and wife, Julia of Florida, Robert G. "Bob" VanDalsem and wife, Chong of Washington; grandchildren, William P "Bill" VanDalsem, Nathaniel C. "Nate" VanDalsem, Willard B. "Willie" VanDalsem, Kimberly VanDalsem; great granddaughter, Keely; friend and fishing buddy, Roger Kilby and many other relatives and friends.
