Patsy Mary Bennett age 79 of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, June 02, 2015 at the Norman Health Plex. She was born August 24, 1935 in Los Angeles, California. Patsy was the oldest of two daughters born to George Bagwill and Mary (Ellis) Bagwill. Patsy grew up in Bellflower, California and graduated from Bellflower High School in 1953. She later met and married the love of her life, Melvin Dewite Bennett. They were married in 1956 in Yuma, Arizona. Together Patsy and Melvin raised two children, Melanie and Dewite. She worked as a homemaker while Melvin worked for Rockwell International. They lived in the Lawndale and Torrance, California area until Melvin retired. In 1978 they moved back to Oklahoma and settled on a small farm in Lexington. Patsy was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. In her younger years she enjoyed being outdoors and working in her yard. After moving to the farm she enjoyed raising farm animals and she was especially fond of her cats. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed spoiling her granddaughter and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, George and Mary Bagwill; One sister, Peggy Bagwill;

She is survived by: Husband, Melvin Bennett of the home in Lexington; Two children, Daughter, Melanie Bennett of Lexington, Son, Dewite Bennett of Norman; One granddaughter, Summer Morgan of Lexington, Three great grandchildren, Autumn, Alissa and Avin Morgan; Two brother-in-laws, Harold Bennett and wife Bonnie of OKC, Sonny Bennett and wife Betty of Norman; Also many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Lexington First Baptist Church in Lexington, OK. Interment will be at the Noble I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
